When men call me about photographing their proposal, I always tell them to keep it simple because you don’t want anything to go wrong.  For Steve and Jasa, all the mishaps just made the story even more adorable.  Originally Steve planned to propose on the bridge leading to the Art Institute; that was where he asked her to be his girlfriend. So we came up with a plan!  I sat near the end of the bridge and waited for them to arrive.  As they arrived, we started to walk up the bridge (I followed behind secretively) and quickly realized it was being shut down!!!  So Steve and Jasa headed back and I followed close behind.  At one point Steve glanced over his shoulder at me and I pointed for him to head over to the hedges.  From there he went down on one knee and asked Jasa to be his wife.  She had no clue although she was wondering why he dressed extra nice that day 🙂  After the proposal, Jasa’s entire family met up to congratulate the newly engaged couple!
