A  Peek Behind the Lens

capturing the irreplaceable moments in life

Los Angeles + California + Anywhere a plane can take me

Let's get expectations set:
I want to be your photographer

My clients usually become close friends of mine and in fact, I’ve been in the business long enough now that my wedding clients are hiring me to celebrate their toddler’s first birthday.

With over 16 years of experience, 300 weddings, and even more families under my belt, you could say I offer a bit more than that little white smartphone you’ve got and other photographers you’ll encounter in the wild west that’s the world wide web.

I’ve always had a way of connecting with people and getting them to open up quickly. Maybe it’s the terrible jokes, my oversharing tendencies, or my ability to speak fluent toddler. Whatever it is, it’s why I love being a wedding and family photographer. I get to meet so many cool people who eventually become great friends. I hope you’ll be one of them!

for life.

the truth is...

You just experienced one of the most significant moments in your history — giving birth. Or perhaps you’re overwhelmed and delirious from chasing around toddlers all day.

These monumental, precious moments don’t get re-dos. Life is full of pass-go moments and before you know it, you’ve made 20 rounds around the sun. But here’s the great thing: This doesn’t mean you can’t experience the same whirlwind of emotions all over again.

From our very first call, I’ll be by your side throughout the entire process to make sure we craft an uncomplicated photo plan, have a seriously fun time during our session, and you receive candid photos that highlight the unique bond you have with your partner or family.

Uncomplicated, seamless, and         .
Just how it should be.

One night I came home from a long week of work and I saw this guy messaged me online. Back then, I was living in Chicago and I saw he was living in Los Angeles. So I messaged back saying, “You don’t live here.” He replied, “You should move to California.”

At this point in my life, I wasn’t even willing to take a $10 Uber to go on a date, so I laughed it off. But after talking for a while, I caved and told him I was going to Tahoe soon and if he was serious, we could meet up. Well, we did, and… We ended up getting married, having two kids, doing two cross-country moves, and survived a pandemic together!

Was it worth going from Chicago to Los Angeles?

1. the most ridiculous

I remember the first time my son said the word mommy: He came running into the kitchen with milk dripping down his face. As he pulled his bottle out of his mouth, he shouted, “Mommy!” with the most accomplished grin on his face.

It was a moment I’ll never forget because it was a moment that I realized I was one of the most important people in someone’s life. I was his mom. And now I’m lucky enough to be a mom to three — a son, daughter, and fur-baby.

(              alert: It wasn't when I gave birth)

section

We established that I’m super passionate about my job, but what do the people say? I have a few cool, official awards like the Top 10 Family and Wedding Photographer in Chicago, received from multiple publications. I also was named Top 3 Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles by the Wedding Photojournalism Association in 2020.

In reality, though, I’m not saying this to brag. This is to reassure you you’ll have a trusted and experienced photographer by your side as well as a friend who’s willing to go the extra mile to make you and your family feel comfortable while having the time of your life.
