Can we all agree that 2020 has been a crazy year?! As much tragedy has occurred, I believe it has only opened the way for great changes.
After I finished my maternity leave this year with my second child, my schedule had been completely derailed by Covid 19. At first, it was shocking but I then realized this was another opportunity to make changes in my business and my personal life.
So starting in 2020, I pledge to help promote change in our community. Each month for one afternoon, I will be offering mini-sessions to benefit a different cause.
When and Where
Fox Hill Park Green Valley Cir &, Buckingham Pkwy, Culver City, CA 90230 on June 28th from 3 pm – 6 pm
This Month’s Cause
For the first charity event, I am inviting all moms and their children to participate in a 15-minute shoot at Fox Hills Park in Culver City. We will be showing support to the African American community and moms by donating to 4 Kira 4 Moms.
Why 4 Kira 4 Moms? Did you know that African American women over 30 are 4-5 times more likely to die during childbirth? 4Kira4Moms was founded with the mission to advocate for improved maternal health policies and regulations, to educate the public about the impact of maternal mortality in communities, provide peer support to the victim’s family, friends, and promote the idea that maternal mortality should be viewed, and discussed as a human rights issue.
