This intimate backyard Bar Mitzvah was such a sweet celebration! I worked with former clients, which I always love. It is so fun to watch families grow together, especially with kids. Recurring photoshoots with clients is a great way to build a relationship between photographer and families. I love getting to document families during the important moments in their lives!

This family is so sweet. I first photographed Carter when he was just a little boy, so it was amazing to celebrate his Bar Mitzvah with him! I couldn’t believe he was already 13! Time really flies. The family decided to host Carter’s Bar Mitzvah right in their backyard in Beverly Hills. I love how simple and personal it was. Sometimes families choose to host Bar Mitzvahs in huge venues with all the bells and whistles and sometimes it distracts from the occasion. This intimate backyard Bar Mitzvah was all about celebrating Carter. Family flew in from around the country to celebrate him. There was a surprise In-N-Out catering truck and all of Carter’s favorite foods! His friends and family showed up and everyone enjoyed delicious food and games and had a great time.

I really loved how personal this celebration was. I can tell how close this family is and how much love there is. It’s really sweet to see parents get so involved in the important moments in their children’s lives. This is a day Carter will always remember!
