One would think that this would be the slow season for Chicago Weddings but some how each year the winter gets busier and busier. Just three days before Christmas, I had the pleasure of photographing Brian and Tiffany’s winter Chicago Wedding at Independence Grove in Libertyville. This venue is part of Chicago’s Forest Preserve and the main perk is the beautiful outdoor scenery. Well….it was FREEZING cold that day so we did our best to take as many pictures outside as we could tolerate. All and all it turned out to be amazing!!!
We started the day out with a traditional morning tea ceremony where Brian and Tiffany served their elders and in exchange they were given presents (not a bad tradition if you ask me). From there, Tiffany and the girls got ready at her parents house while Brian and the guys got ready at a hotel. We all met up at Independence Grove for a first look. Even though we were battling the cold and the sunset, it turned out to be absolutely beautiful! From there we went inside where they had a short and sweet ceremony, followed by a cocktail hour, and a reception. Brian and Tiffany did a few things different about their wedding which I found to be really fun! First off, instead of lighting a unity candle, they bought several single stem roses and had all their friends and family put one into a vase to wish them well. Then as they exited the ceremony, everyone threw rose pedals which made for some really fun pictures!
Brian and Tiffany are really easy to love as a couple. Everything from their love story to their wedding is just too cute! First off, they have known each other for I believe 10 years. They first met in Chinese school and were really good friends for quite some time. From then they have been dating.
