This outdoor birthday session was so much fun to photograph! I actually photographed Louis’ newborn session. It was so much fun to photograph him for his one year birthday. I can’t believe how quickly time has passed! It’s fun to work with families and watch their children grow up in front of the camera. Louis has matured so much since his newborn session and is now a beautiful baby boy.

I planned this session with his parents. They had recently moved to Los Feliz from Downtown LA and wanted to highlight their new neighborhood on the East side. They also wanted a beautiful view of the city. We decided to photograph the session the Griffith Observatory. This is a great location near Los Feliz because it has views overlooking LA. I loved how airy and romantic the light was during the shoot.

My favorite part of the shoot was that Louis’ grandma and aunt drove up from Texas to celebrate. It’s always great when extended family can join for an important celebration! I am glad they were able to join for the photoshoot. The whole family will remember coming together to celebrate Louis’ birthday. Time with family is so important, especially when babies are young.
