Tony and Christina were such a special couple to photograph. Both of their families were close-knit, which made this wedding particularly sweet. Christina and Tony married in a serene Catholic wedding ceremony near their home in Santa Clarita. The couple got ready together at home for a tranquil start to the day. Tony got ready downstairs while Christina got ready upstairs. My favorite part about couples getting ready at home is how many personal touches there are to capture. Christina had marked her wall calendar with a heart for her wedding date and there were other little notes and sweet details around the house. I love capturing the details that make the lead-up to the big day that much more memorable.
The house was packed with loved ones helping get everything ready for the day while Tony and Christina got dressed. Tony and Christina were careful not to run into each other before the ceremony, and were successful with the help of family and friends shielding them from each other! They decided to do a first touch before leaving for the ceremony. They closed their eyes and were guided to hold hands in anticipation of the reveal. Then at the ceremony, they finally arrived at the church and got their first glimpse. It was very heartfelt and emotional!
After a serene Catholic wedding ceremony, we went to O’Melveny Park for a quick couple photoshoot. Tony and Christina love to hike there. It’s a park that holds a lot of special memories for them. The sun was setting and the park was beautiful. Many passersby wished them congratulations!
Afterwards, we left for Knollwood Country Club for the reception. Several loved ones gave heartfelt speeches, including Tony’s son. Everyone was so happy to see Tony and Christina come together on their special day to start a new life together!
