This fun surprise proposal was truly a shock to Jinouth! I love when partners don’t know that a proposal is coming. Tyler took Jinouth to Point Dume in Malibu to go on a hike. He wanted to propose to her on a cliff above the ocean. The proposal didn’t go exactly as planned. They were a little bit late in arriving, and by the time they showed up the cliff he wanted was super crowded. Jinouth also decided to bring their adorable dog on the hike. She didn’t realize what was going to happen! Tyler tried to convince her to leave the dog at home but she insisted. Right as Tyler bent down on one knee to propose, their dog started running off in another direction. I guess that’s why Tyler didn’t want to bring him!

After Jinouth got her dog under control, she was so surprised! She was thrilled and even showed their dog the beautiful ring Tyler gave her. We were in the perfect location for beautiful portraits with the beach in the background. Flower were blooming everywhere. I love Point Dume during springtime. Malibu is so beautiful all times of year, but especially perfect in spring. Tyler and Jinouth met in college and had been dating for a long time so they were very natural and comfortable together. Even though the proposal didn’t get exactly as planned they still had a great time together and we got plenty of beautiful images. And most importantly, she said yes!
