This romantic engagement session was absolutely stunning. Faizah and Samir will get married in a traditional Indian ceremony in a month. We went to Malibu to capture their engagement session before the wedding. Faizah and Samir wanted to do it at the beach in Malibu and wanted a really grand nature background. I took them to Point Dume and Leo Carrillo State Beach. I knew there would be tons of greenery and beautiful flowers in bloom this time of year. Point Dume did not disappoint!

It was a perfect sunny day outside. Firstly, we went to Point Dume. We started the shoot in a field of wildflowers. Faizah and Samir stood in a field of beautiful yellow flowers in bloom. Springtime in Malibu is truly the best! Later on, we captured some romantic candids in front of the cliffside with an ocean backdrop. It is a great location to get views of Malibu as well as the beach.

Afterwards, we headed to Leo Carrillo. We got some amazing shots at sunset in a beautiful field with tall grasses. I loved the light dipping below the horizon and how it made the field look endless. We finished on some amazing cliffs as the sun went down over the water. It was such a romantic engagement session. Faizah and Samir admitted they were a little bit camera shy when we started. They were surprised by how easy and fun session was! I kept the shoot really candid and let them enjoy each other and hang out. They were naturals! I always like to hear that the shoot is less demanding than people expect. It can be exhausting so I like to make it easy on my couples.
