This was my third time photographing this family, since we had worked together to photograph older sister Mira’s photos a few years ago! It’s always amazing to return to work with families and to see how quickly their children have grown. Time flies! This time around, I met them at their beautiful Playa Vista home to capture Baby Naya’s Los Angeles newborn session in a cozy, comfortable environment. I love capturing families at home, where they are most relaxed and comfortable. I think it brings a lot of ease to the shoot, especially when photographing toddlers.

There’s always a lot of excitement when photo shoots involve a toddler, and this session was no exception! I was able to work with Mira to channel her energy into being part of the shoot while still giving the parents their calm, comfortable shoot environment. Ultimately, we were able to capture some beautiful and playful moments together, while keeping the focus on photographing Baby Naya in a unique and memorable way. .

It’s important to me to always make sure to capture that one special image that shows Mom in a beautiful way with her kids. As we were close to the end, I was able to finally coax Mira to join us. Toddler’s can take a lot of patience and but the image was so worth the wait. Check out my last image on this post for the result!
