Its so exciting when I get to work with old friends on the day of their wedding. I have known Erin probably since kindergarten. Erin was a grade ahead of me and we both went to the smallest school on the planet, so everyone knew everyone. No really, it was the smallest school in the world!
Erin’s Southern Illinois wedding took place at the Christian Church in Pleasant Hill. It was so odd photographing here as I remember being like 5 and going there for VBS. Anway, this post isn’t about me! Its about Erin and Eric, yep they almost have the same name! So Erin and Eric were so much fun to work with! I was super excited when she contacted me as I love shooting in my hometown. Its so extremely opposite from the city of Chicago and so there are so many different and unique backgrounds to chose from. So back to what I was saying….keep getting sidetracked! The wedding took place at the first Christian Church in Pleasant Hill and then afterwards we headed over to Clarksville, Missouri. Clarksville is this small town full of shops run by local artist with beautiful old storefronts. Unfortunately, it poured rain all day and it was so insanely cold but we made it happen! After doing portraits in Clarksville, we headed over to Tievoli Hills for the reception. And just an fyi, Tievoli Hills spelled backwards is “I love it”. I don’t think that was an accident!
Best of luck to you, Erin and Eric and thanks for making me a part of your incredible day!!!
